Lets Get This One Going....

I have a strong interest in Theology... and a healthy interest in Science. I study them both and consider them both simultaneously in alot of my thinking. This Blog is about the two areas. I believe they shed light and understanding on each other rather than the opposite wich most people seem to believe.

A good example of this, is in a book I am presently reading 'Three Roads to Quantum Gravity' by Lee Smolin. Finding a theory that unifies the main two theories already accepted in mainstream Science, Einsteins Relativity and Bohr's Quantum mechanics, takes forward thinking and courage not to mention alot of time obviously... In the same way, finding a bridge between Theology and Science to see where they answer each others questions rather than contradict each other seems a productive venture to me.

I am also reading 'Fabric of the Cosmos'. I'm 1/2 way through it, and just when I get a bit.. overwelmed Brian Greene will mention Mulder and Scully.. or Bart and Homer to illustrate a concept and I remember he is just a guy speaking about ideas he is more familiar with than I am. It is humbling to realize that he can bring it home to me with the Simpsons, yikes!! I think switching between the two books is not very constructive however. Smolin's book seems to be an easier read for me, so I keep finding myself reaching for it lately. ;-)

Trying to Blog

I guess this is going to take a little time figuring out. I cannot find my blog on the net! Maybe
actually posting on it will help it to register eh? So that is what I am trying until I find some time to add some substance to it.
