The Aether
Franz Anton Mesmer called it Animal Magnetism Charles von Reichenbach called it Odyle Henri Bergson called it Elan Vital, the "Vital Force" Mechanistic Science in 17th thru 19th century called it the Ether Wilhelm Reich's name for it was Orgone Energy Mainstream Science today calls it by several respected and presently not fully understood concepts such as Dark Matter, Anti Matter, Strings, Zero Point Energy, Vacume Energy Ancient Mystics called it Chi, Prana... as well as other Eastern names. All are describing with monumental evidence in spite of each feeling they are so different, what this blog has been discussing: It is the substratum from which all nature is created. The creative force in nature. I call it the Aether or Spirit/Hand of God. In all my reading this past year, Three Roads to Quantum Gravity, by Lee Smolin Fabric of the Cosmos by Brian Greene PBS's series: Elegant Universe also by Brian Greene A movie: What the Bleep Do We Know Einstein's relativity theories and various doctrinal books namely scriptures pointing to the cosmos and spirit matter, I see a pattern that tells me these properties are VERY similar if not consistant: 1) It is Mass free 2) It is present everywhere 3) It is the medium for electromagnetic and gravitational phenomena 4) It is in constant motion 5) It 'contradicts' the law of entropy. 6) It forms units which are the foci of creative activity living or nonliving ie: bion, cell, plant, animal or cloud, storm, planet, star, galaxy 7) It is responsible for life 8) it can be manipulated and controlled
